To ensure an effortless journey, we offer connecting suites, a Nautilus Club for guests aged six to 17, and a collection of Destination Experiences expertly curated for families.
Family-Friendly Destination Experiences
A series of Destination Experiences have been curated for the whole family to enjoy..Easily accessible and fun edu-tainment activities range from spending a day on a local farm to visiting a space centre, where children willmeet a real astronaut.
Benefits for Younger Guests and Groups
We welcome all generations and are delighted to offer some exceptional savings for younger explorers and families travelling together. Infants aged between six* and 23 months old** sail free of charge. Children aged between two and 17 years old** are eligible for additional savings of up to 50% off the Journey fare.
Nautilus Club
A space dedicated to our younger guests
Our team of expert hosts ensure the entertainment and enrichment of children aged six to 17 years old. Children aged three to five years are also welcome at specific intervals for age-appropriate activities, if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Open every day from 9:00 until midnight, the Nautilus Club offers the latest generation of video games and VR consoles, such as PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iPads and Oculus Pro.
Children can also try their hand at foosbal, pool (at a table designed and crafted in Italy by MBM Biliardi), or listen to their favourite music at our jukebox tablet connected to streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple. We also offer a large collection of board games and a digital library with a wide range of books across a multitude of languages.
The space also offers sports sessions, technology tournaments, painting, arts and crafts, and games throughout the ship. Our Nautilus Club hosts are certified according to CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) policies and standards on youth activities, making sure that children and teens are looked after as and when needed. All younger guests can also enjoy reserved periods at the Sports Court, one of the heated pools, as well as other locations around the ship.
In partnership with the MSC Foundation, younger guests can participate in an activity programme dedicated to a sustainable future, caring for the sea and planet. Projects include workshops and discussions on marine conservation, environmental footprint, our ships’ sustainable practices, the impact of tourism, and community support.
Activities are designed to inform and engage the lively younger minds of our guests.
Adult-Only Spaces
For a moment of stillness and serenity, guests can enjoy the Helios Pool & Bar on deck 12, a panoramic area at the forward part of the ship exclusively reserved for adults. The sunniest spot onboard is for adults only, our panoramic pool and lounge experience awaits. Most of the other public spaces, restaurants, bars, lounges and pools on EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II welcome families and children.
Connecting Suites
Families can expect space and privacy thanks to the EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II offering of 82 multi-generation-friendly connected suites. Available as Ocean Suites, Ocean Penthouses and Ocean Residences.

Thoughtful Touches for Younger Guests
Your hosts will arrange everything to make you and your family feel comfortable and at home. Younger guests are provided with thoughtful touches such as smaller bathrobes, slippers and hangers. Upon request, our hosts can provide baby essentials, such as cribs, blankets, linens and pillows.
For infants aged six months to two years, toys are also available in-suite.
