Pre- & Post-Journey Immersions

General Conditions

The minimum age to participate in this program is 10 years. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcohol during the experience. Any food allergies or dietary request must be communicated at the time of booking. This experience is designed for general sightseeing and is not suitable for pregnant women or those with limited mobility who require assistance boarding transportation vehicles. It is also not recommended for individuals with a history of back, neck, knee, heart, or respiratory conditions.

By booking this experience, you consent to our team capturing photographs and/or video footage during the trip, which may be used for promotional purposes, including brochures, websites, and media materials.

While every effort will be made to adhere to the planned itinerary, changes may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. Alterations to dates, trip duration, flight schedules, locations, or accommodations may occur at short notice. Guests will be informed promptly of significant changes, but no liability is accepted for the consequences of such adjustments.

The decision of the Explora Journeys representative or local guide is final. Adjustments to the itinerary may be made to ensure the safety and comfort of the group. Guests leaving the program at any stage for any reason will not be entitled to a refund or compensation.

This experience does not involve extreme activities but may include travel through areas with weather variations, remote landscapes, and less-developed infrastructure. By booking, you acknowledge the associated risks and accept responsibility for your participation.

Explora Journeys is not liable for illness, injury, or death except in cases of proven negligence. Any internal flights booked as part of this program are subject to the conditions of the airline, including limitations on liability for delays or changes.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that cancellation penalties apply to these programs. For Pre- & Post-Journey Immersions, cancellations made within 60 days prior to departure incur a 100% fee. It is important to be aware that land programs may be cancelled if a minimum number of participants is not achieved. In such cases, guests will be notified no later than 60 days prior to departure.

Force Majeure

Explora Journeys reserves the right to cancel or modify this program due to force majeure events, including but not limited to war, terrorism, industrial disputes, natural disasters, epidemics, health risks, adverse weather conditions, or transport disruptions. While alternative arrangements will be made when possible, we cannot be held liable for delays, additional costs, or cancellations arising from such circumstances. Guests are encouraged to secure travel insurance to cover these risks.

 

Insurance Requirement

Participation in this program is at the guest’s own risk. Travel insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings is mandatory. Insurance must also cover any additional costs resulting from delays or disruptions due to force majeure. Guests are required to provide proof of valid insurance prior to departure. Explora Journeys reserves the right to deny participation if sufficient coverage is not provided.

In case of an emergency, Explora Journeys may arrange search, rescue, and recovery at its discretion. Guests are responsible for any associated costs, including medical evacuation and legal fees, unless covered by insurance.

 

Payment Policy

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total program cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining 75% must be paid in full no later than 90 days before departure. Bookings made between 90 and 14 days before departure require full payment at the time of booking.

Bookings made less than 14 days before departure are not permitted. Reservations are confirmed only after payment is received in full. Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in automatic cancellation, and guests will be notified accordingly.

 

Medical and Health Requirements

Guests must complete a medical declaration form and notify Explora Journeys of any health conditions that may affect their participation. If health issues arise after submitting the form, Explora Journeys must be informed immediately. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings if medical conditions could endanger the health and safety of the guest or others.

Guests who have been exposed to infectious diseases must notify us promptly. Bookings may be cancelled if the departure date falls within the quarantine period for such diseases. These cancellations are considered force majeure, and no compensation will be provided.

What’s included / not included

Inclusions:

-              Transportation by luxury van A/C with free wi-fi internet where available.

-              Services of Professional English-Speaking licensed Guide(s) or Escorts

-              Airport arrival reception staff

-              Transfer from the airport to the hotel

-              2-nights’ accommodation at Yunak Evleri, Cappadocia or similar

-              1-night accommodation at Four Seasons the Bosphorus (Gold Package)

-              Complimentary Wi-Fi in hotels

-              Domestic flights as part of the overland tour experience, specifically from Istanbul-Cappadocia-Istanbul on a commercial airline, in economy class

-              Meals as noted in the itinerary

-              Water service during meals

-              All planning, handling, and operational charges, including entrance fees to the venues as noted in your itinerary

-              Transfer from your hotel to the Pier to board your Cruise

-              Smart Tablet Questionnaire

Not included:

-              Any item we mention in the itinerary as being optional.

-              Meals other than those mentioned in the itinerary

-              Excess baggage fees imposed by airlines or storage fees charged by hotels

-              Unless specifically noted otherwise, all beverages consumed during meals other than water

-              The cost of personal items and purchases, such as laundry, telephone calls, souvenirs, etc.

-              Optional and additional exploration not included in the itinerary

-              Cost of obtaining passports or required visas or other travel documents where necessary

-              Costs associated with changes to any individual’s travel plans resulting from incorrect travel documentation

-              Additional gratuities at individual’s discretion

Third-party liability:

Explora Journeys acts as reservations and communications agent for Pre- & Post-Journey Immersions. All or portions of Pre- & Post-Journey Immersions may be operated by subcontracted third parties. All subcontracted third-party operators are responsible for and insured against acts or omissions.  Explora Journeys is not liable for injuries, acts or omissions occurring during any portion of Pre- & Post-Journey Immersions.
